CONGRATULATIONS CAPTAIN RICHARD PHILLIPS on behalf of US SAILING’s Board of Directors, members and staff. Captain Phillips (Underhill, VT) earns Sailor of the Week accolades for the selfless bravery he demonstrated last week in the Indian Ocean. The Massachusetts Maritime Academy graduate provided an example to all sailors by following the fundamental rules of seamanship and leadership by putting the safety of his crew and vessel first.
