MARBLEHEAD, Mass. (September 22, 2012) – The table is set for a climactic finish, as the 10 teams completed the second Round Robin and Quarterfinals on Saturday at the U.S. Match Racing Championship, hosted by the Boston Yacht Club.

The Quarterfinals proved to be especially challenging as the morning fog returned to the race course in the afternoon, which proposed visibility issues for the sailors. The number one seed Taylor Canfield (St. Thomas, USVI), who is sailing with crewmates Stephanie Roble (East Troy, Wis.), Maggie Shea (Wilmette, Ill.), and Janel Zarkowsky (Annapolis, Md.), held off Christopher Poole (Falmouth, Maine) in their match-up, 2-1. As the number one seed, Canfield will select his Semifinal opponent for Sunday.

Two-time champion Dave Dellenbaugh (Easton, Conn.), who is sailing with his daughter Rebecca Dellenbaugh (Easton, Conn.), and US Sailing Team Sperry Top-Sider members Debbie Capozzi (Bayport, N.Y.) and Stuart McNay (Boston, Mass.), also won 2-1 over Don Wilson (Chicago, Ill.).

Four-time U.S. Match Racing Champion Dave Perry (Southport, Conn.) and crew Mike Rehe (Harper Woods, Mich.) and Chris Museler (Portsmouth, R.I.) defeated Dustin Durant (Long Beach, Calif.), 2-0.

Brad Funk (Plantation, Fla.) with crewmates Luke Muller and Luke Lawrence defeated Jon Singsen (Greenwich, Conn.), 2-0.
