Sunsail and The Moorings Become Official Sponsors of US Sailing

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (October 10, 2012) – US Sailing, the national governing body of the sport, has agreed on a multi-year sponsorship deal with Sunsail and The Moorings. Sunsail specializes on sailing and water sports vacations and The Moorings is a world premier yacht charter company.
“Sunsail and The Moorings are the leaders in sailing charters, and provide fun, safe and high quality boats for sailors of all stripes to relax and enjoy time on the water with family and friends,” said Jack Gierhart, Executive Director of US Sailing. “We are delighted to partner with these companies that share the same passion for sailing as we do. Their commitment to innovative and carefree sailing vacations will be a real benefit to our members, events and programs.”
Sunsail will be an official sponsor of the 2013 US Sailing Roadshow, a grassroots sail education program that contributes to community sailing organizations throughout the summer. Sunsail will also be a sponsor for US Sailing’s 2013 National Sailing Program Symposium (NSPS) in Clearwater, Fla. on January 23-26.
The Moorings will be a featured sponsor at the 2014 US Sailing Conference, which will combine the Yacht Club Summit, NSPS, and the One-Design Symposium. The date and location of this event is to be determined.
As part of their partnership, Sunsail and The Moorings will offer a discount off their products and services to members of US Sailing and additional offers to premium members. Full details on this new membership benefit will be announced in the near future.
