Athletes Quotes on Day 1 of Racing

Amanda Clark, Women’s 470, on sailing with new crew Sarah Lihan: “It was a blast out there today. Sarah got knocked off the wire a couple of times today, but looking around and everyone was taking a little trip off the wire. It was hard, a short chop; Sarah did an amazing job and it was an absolute blast to sail with her.”

Adam Roberts, Men’s 470, about day one’s two races and how the fleet rounded the wrong mark: “The whole fleet (then) realized that we had rounded the reach mark, so everybody turned around and reached back to the correct weather mark, we realized a little earlier and rounded the correct mark in 10th-ish.”
