PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (February 9, 2011) – From Memorial Day (May 30) to Labor Day (Sept. 5), US SAILING will be traveling along the east coast to yacht clubs and community sailing centers from New England to the Mid-Atlantic to interact in a variety of events, including regattas, junior program clinics, community outreach programs, adult learn to sail seminars, and more as part of the US SAILING Road Show.
Yacht clubs and community sailing centers host signature events every summer. Some events are well known and recognized by the greater sailing community, and others remain best kept secrets. US SAILING wants to learn more about your signature event this summer. More importantly, we want to be there and join in on the fun.
Here are a few ways US SAILING’s Road Show can participate in your club’s events and programs:
- Promotion: Let us help you tell the world about your club’s big event. We’ll use video, daily recaps, and social media platforms to share special moments from the event with the sailing community.
- Sailing: Need more crew? We’d be happy to race!
- Instruction: Our US SAILING Road Show coordinators will be certified instructors with coaching experience. We can assist with learn to sail programs and clinics.
- General Support: What do you need to run a more organized event? Let US SAILING help you reach your event management and operations goals.
If your special event deserves more exposure or just needs a little support, please invite US SAILING to your club this summer. All clubs and community sailing centers located from New England to the Mid-Atlantic are eligible.

US SAILING hopes to grow this new program in the future and incorporate sailing events from venues around the country.
US SAILING is in the process of hiring Mobile Coordinators for the Road Show. We are searching for organized and energetic sailors to serve as US SAILING ambassadors for this exciting and rewarding program.
