BAY HEAD, N.J. (November 13, 2011) – Last night at US Sailing’s One-Design Sailing Symposium at the Bay Head Yacht Club, presented by Gowrie Group, five awards were presented to recognize outstanding individual and organizational achievements in one-design sailing. The award categories are: Service, Leadership, Club, Regatta, and Creativity. These awards highlight role models of creative leadership in one-design sailing.
US Sailing congratulates the 2011 One-Design award winners:
SERVICE: Gene Ferguson - Catalina 22 Class
LEADERSHIP: Justin Scott - Viper 640 Class
CLUB: North Cape Yacht Club (Mich.)
REGATTA: Heineken High Performance Dinghy Open - American Yacht Club (N.Y.)
CREATIVITY: SailX
