US SAILING Remembers Allen Brill

By Jake Fish

November 30, 2010

Rolex logo small All of us at US SAILING want to express our deepest sympa t h i e s in regards to the recent passing of Allen Brill, president and CEO of Rolex USA. There was a great sense of loss when we heard th e news and are truly saddened by this tragedy.

Thanks to Allen’s leadership and vision, Rolex is one of sailing’s strongest champions in the U.S. The impact goes far beyond the events, partnerships and programs Rolex so generously supports. Allen's and Rolex’s commitment to excellence, sportsmanship and integrity transcends participation in sailing. It reaches all levels and aspects of our sport, and sailing is definitely better for his contribution.

At US SAILING we are honored to have worked with Allen over the years, and along with our members and volunteers we understand probably better than anyone the positive influence and difference Allen has made. US SAILING is extremely grateful for Allen’s confidence, and loyalty to the organization and our members.

We have tremendous respect and admiration for Allen, and will greatly miss working with him. His passing is a great loss to US SAILING and to sailors across the country.
