PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (November 18, 2009) – US SAILING, the national governing body of the sport, has extended their sponsorship with LaserPerformance, a leading world manufacturer and largest U.S. supplier of recreational and high performance small sailboats. The four-year sponsorship extension runs through 2014.
“This has been a great sponsorship for us,” said Chip Wilkerson, vice president of marketing for LaserP erformance. “It’s a big part of our commitment to organized sailing in North America. We’re looking forward to working with US SAILING to continue to develop great events for sailors around the country.”
LaserPerformance has a long history of providing benefits and support to US SAILING, its members, events, and programs. They will continue to be the official sponsor for six US SAILING National Championship events, as well as US SAILING’s National Sailing Program Symposium (NSPS). LaserPerformance will provide Laser, Laser Radial, Sunfish, Club 420, and Vanguard 15 boats for US SAILING National Championships, including The U.S. Youth Sailing Championships, U.S. Junior Championships, U.S. Junior Women’s Doublehanded Championship, U.S. Junior Women’s Singlehanded Championship, U.S. Team Racing Championship, and U.S. Singlehanded Championship.
