PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (November 11, 2009) – US SAILING, the national governing body of the sport, and Hobie Polarized, an industry leading eyewear provider, have announced a new sponsorship agreement through 2011. Hobie Polarized is now the official sunglasses provider of US SAILING.

Hobie Polarized will be an official sponsor for several major US SAILING events including four national championships (U.S. Match Racing Championship, U.S. Singlehanded Championship, U.S. Multihull Championship, U.S. Youth Multihull Championship), approximately 25 Junior Olympic Festivals and US SAILING’s Speaker Series.

“US SAILING and Hobie Polarized are a perfect match,” said Charlie Leighton, executive director of US SAILING. “Our new official sunglasses provider creates eyewear that is ideal for active sailors of all ages. We are excited about this new US SAILING membership benefit.”
